Welcome to 2018! I’ve already written 2017 a couple times already, oops.
I wanted to start this year off by doing a blog post. I know every time I come on here it’s to say that I’m going to post more and then I disappear for months at a time. I’m not perfect, I know it’s surprising! This year on January 1st I sat down at my desk and took out a blank journal. I have never been one to make New Year Resolutions but this year I sat at my desk with this journal full of empty pages and I wrote 2018 GOALS. One of those things was to write more. I wrote lots of other things like eat better, get back to daily yoga, read more books, etc. I really want to find my way back to the space I was in before. I’m not saying I’m not happy. I am the happiest I have ever been. I just want to touch base with the Jackie that wrote about her flight attendant adventures and got on her yoga mat to take time for herself every day.
SO, that’s what I’m doing. I have dedicated one page of my journal for a list of books I want to read this year, one page for my goals, and some other blank pages for random things I want to fill them with. The rest of the pages I have dedicated to every day of the year. So far I only have 4 done but it’s a good start! I write the date at the top, one thing I’m grateful for that day, my to do list for the day, and then any highlights/moods of the day.
As for my yoga goals of the year, Adriene Mishler of the absolutely life saving YouTube Channel Yoga With Adriene has put out a free 30 day yoga journey. It’s the person start to the year and just what I needed to commit to my mat. If anybody else is joining in on this 30 day yoga journey, let me know!
That’s about all I have to say about that. 2018 is going to be a good year, I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
